Jan 8, 2014 – Pop City features JazzLive 2014, which includes an April performance by bassist Tony DePaolis. Oct 22, 2013 – Point Park University’s Kineen Dillard interviews Gene and other artists involved in Thriller: A Tribute Show Presented by Touchfaster and The Ruckus Bros.

July 4, 2013 – Scott Mervis from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette previews the inaugural Deutschtown Music Festival, a free festival on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Gene performs at Stedeford’s Records on East Ohio Street.

Dec 21, 2011 – New Pittsburgh Courier covers Gene’s news. He joins Blue Magic as a lead vocalist (2011-2012).

Dec 16, 2011 – NakYouOut interviews Gene about the exciting year he has had while he prepares for his 9th annual Holiday Concert at Kelly Strayhorn Theater.

Sept 27, 2011 – LOCKdown Radio gets to know Gene, his sense of “corny people’s funny,” and all that he’s been getting his hands into: songwriting, singing, collaborating, recording, and teaching. He even delivers some Stevie Wonder: “I Can Only Be Me.”

July 25, 2011 – In 2011, Scientific Map released the album Rust Belt Soul with the label Imaginary Chicago Records. Gene’s vocals grace this album, which includes traces of electronica, funk, gospel, hip hop, house, jazz, reggae, rock, and trance.
